Ruler End Styles
There are a number of different styles and configurations that can be given to the ends of rulers. The drawing below illustrates the three most commonly used ruler end styles.
Rounded Corners
The graduated scales are placed as shown above, inboard or indented from the very end of the ruler.
This is by far the most popular and widely used style.
Square Corners
The graduated scales are placed as shown above, inboard or indented from the very end of the ruler.
Flush Ended
The graduated scales are placed as shown above. The zero point is right at the very end of the ruler.
